Summer School Fees and Refund Policy
The core programme of General English consists of 15 hours per week of English Language study. 

Students may choose to study Intensive English (20 hours per week) by combining General English with English Plus or IELTS Preparation.

Students on all courses can choose to join our Social Programme.

- IELTS exams must be booked separately at a local exam centre (estimated cost £160 - £200)

Airport Transfer Service

We can arrange airport transfers between Edinburgh Airport and your Edinburgh accommodation. You can choose to book both arrival and departure transfer, or to book these separately.

On arrival, you will be met at the airport and transported to your accommodation. The cost is £65.

On departure, we will arrange for a taxi to take you from your accommodation in Edinburgh to the airport. The cost is £35.

College Lunches

We can arrange for students to receive lunch in the College cafeteria on Monday-Friday during their course. The cost is £35 per week.


We can arrange a homestay (host family) accommodation for you during your time with us.

Half-board (breakfast and evening meal included): single room £180/week; shared room £150/week
Self-catering (prepare your own meals): single room £150/week

Homestay accommodation is normally booked from Sunday to Sunday. Additional nights will be charged extra and we cannot guarantee that they will be with the same host.

Payment of course fees

A deposit of £200 is required to confirm your place on the Summer School. If you require a visa to study in the UK, we may request a higher deposit / full fee payment.

The £200 deposit is non-refundable and will be deducted from your total course fees. The remaining course fees are due one month before the start date of your course.
