This part-time course is aimed at adults who have no or few formal qualifications and who would like to improve confidence and skills to prepare for further study. The course runs for 18 weeks and will allow you to work towards SQA Units and Edinburgh College courses at SCQF Level 4. 

The majority of our courses will be delivered online only for the beginning of 2021. A limited number of courses will have classes on campus. You will be contacted by your lecturer if your course will include any face-to-face classes on campus.

• There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you must show that you are committed and have the attitude to succeed and learn new skills.

• IELTS 5.5

• You will be assessed through a range of classroom-based activities.

• You will be invited to attend an interview to assess if this is the correct course for you. 

• Study further qualifications at a higher level at Edinburgh College.

• Increased confidence and skills learnt in this course may lead to entry-level employment 

• 2 - 3 days per week
