THIS COURSE IS SPECIFICALLY FOR SENIOR PHASE SCHOOL PUPILS WHILE STILL AT SCHOOL.
This Play and Child Development course is part of Edinburgh College Schools and College Partnership provision. The course is designed for school pupils only. This is a starter level course and covers skills and knowledge related to working in a range of Childcare professions. Delivery of Play and Child Development is at SCQF level 4/5 and covers skills and knowledge related to working in a Childcare Setting. This schools programme is also a progression route onto our Level 4, Level 5 or other full-time Childcare courses at Edinburgh College. This course is offered at our Granton and Sighthill campuses.

This Childcare schools programme is currently under review. Delivery units may be subject to change however the overall course content and course aim will remain the same.
- There are no formal entry requirements however we except school applicants demonstrate a keen interest in childcare be well presented and have good interpersonal and communication skills
- You must be in full-time secondary education in order to apply for the course

his course is designed for you to progress onto further study and in itself will not lead to direct employment in a Childcare setting. Courses and qualifications that lead to SSSC registration and employment opportunities at Edinburgh College start at NC Early Education and Childcare (SCQF level 6) and HNC Childhood Practice (SCQF Level7).
