Level 5 Sound Production is
an innovative, project-based course designed specifically to prepare you with
the fundamental knowledge and skills to progress onto NC Level 6 Sound
Production or Music. You will be taught by highly qualified, industry
accredited lecturers and explore all areas of sound production from both a
creative and technical perspective.
Through introductory classes you will develop fundamental
skills and knowledge preparing you to progress. You will engage in studio
practice and professional practice in recording, mixing, live sound, sound
design, audio engineering and music for visual media.
- Four qualifications at SQCF Level 4 (including English,
Maths and one subject related to Music/Sound Production)
- A basic understanding of sound production
How the course is assessed

The
course is mainly project based. You will be assessed continuously through a
range of project and portfolio work.
You will
be invited to attend an interview where you can discuss your previous sound
production experience and reason for applying to the course.
