Jewel & Esk College teaches across two campuses, one at Brunstane in south east Edinburgh and the other just outside Dalkeith in Midlothian.
You can reach each campus using a variety of different methods of public transport.

Jewel & Esk aims to ensure travel to the college is easily accessible through the various measures incorporated within our Green Travel Plan. We encourage staff and students to make the most appropriate and environmentally-friendly personalised travel choice, be it public transport, cycling, car sharing or park & ride.

Secure cycle parking provision is provided at each campus, close to building entrances. Further information on the surrounding local cycle network is available from Sustrans.
By bus
An extensive scheduled bus network makes it simple and inexpensive to travel to either campus. First Edinburgh and Lothian Buses link Edinburgh and the Lothians to our campuses. To plan your journey, contact Traveline Scotland or call them on 0871 200 22 33.

We also run free college buses between the Edinburgh and Midlothian Campuses.
By train
ScotRail operate regular trains between Newcraighall, Brunstane and Edinburgh & the Fife Circle (Monday to Saturday) servicing our Edinburgh Campus. Journey times are generally just a few minutes from Newcraighall or Edinburgh.

By car
We encourage staff and students to use public transport wherever possible. For those who must travel by car, we encourage car sharing. We operate a parking management scheme, where staff and students need to apply for a parking permit to park on campus.
Visitors must contact reception (0131 344 7000) 48 hours prior to their visit to reserve a parking space. Parking spaces are limited.
