New Apprentices for NHS Lothians

New Apprentices for NHS Lothians

Professor James Barbour, Chief Executive, NHS Lothian visited Jewel & Esk on 22nd November. He is pictured with some of the five apprentices NHS Lothian have taken on. The apprentices, who are based at a range of hospitals across the region, will do their 'off job' training at Jewel & Esk.

These are the first apprentices from NHS Lothian in 15 years. It is particulary encouraging to see an employer like the NHS investing in the future in this manner at a time when so many employers and apprentices are struggling in the face of the economic downturn.
