Jewel & Esk College acknowledges the diversity and dignity of individuals and promotes the equality of opportunity for all.  The college actively promotes equality, diversity and inclusion by removing barriers to education, training and employment opportunities by widening access through development of a flexible and inclusive culture.

At Jewel & Esk College we recognise that we each have a right to dignity, trust and respect and a responsibility to demonstrate the same to others.

Our Respect campaign runs throughout the year and profiles national events and issues like Ramadan, Black History Month and  LGBT month.

Our Single Equality Scheme is as relevant to staff as it is to students.  We take Equality & Diversity seriously and are signatory to the disability Two Ticks scheme and partners with See Me, Scotland’s national campaign to end the stigma and discrimination of mental ill-health.
